DTN COMMENTS:
Last week Northern dressed cattle traded at mostly $350 which is $5.00 to $6.00
higher than the previous week's weighted average, and although Southern live
cattle didn't trade until late in the day, Southern cattle were marked at
mostly $226 which is $3.00 to $4.00 higher than the previous week's weighted
average. But given that the week's trade in the South was so late, it will be
imperative to note today's USDA reports to see where the week's weighted
average fell officially and to see exactly how many cattle sold.
NOTE: Feedlots are encouraged to email DTN with any cattle sales at
ShayLe.Stewart@dtn.com. All sales will be listed anonymously and organized by
state. All live sales are FOB and set for 1-9-day delivery. A weekly summary
from this data will be posted on the Weekly Cattle Sales Reported to DTN page
and will be left up for the entire week for reference purposes.
