LAST WEEK'S ROUNDUP: Last week was a very strange week with a 
light to moderate trade developing as early as Monday and 
basically finishing up on Tuesday. The rest of the week was 
pretty quiet with only a few scattered deals reported. Northern 
dressed trade ranged from $191.00 to $192.00, mostly $192.00 $1 
to $2 lower than the previous week's weighted average basis 
Nebraska. Southern live deals ranged from $119.00 to $120.00, 
mostly $120.00$2 to $3 lower than last week's weighted 
averages.

DTN MORNING COMMENTS:  The country is quiet this morning with 
bids and asking prices not established as of yet. This week's 
trade will likely be postponed until Wednesday or later. Beef 
cutouts are expected to be lower with light to moderate box 
movement.

For the week ending January 06, 2018, Imported Beef Passed for 
Entry in the U.S. totaled 24,880, 92.23% of the previous week 
and 80.87% of the prior 4-week average.
